Emerger/Wet - PMD

An unweighted fly with a tapered profile, dubbed torso and soft hackle that imitates a mayfly in the last stages of its emergence. Especially effective during pale yellow (our preferred) and rust-toned mayfly hatches common to Maine’s early summer streams. When fish refuse dries, caddis or stone imitations, this pattern in sizes 12 or 16 is usually a hit.

Fish as a single fly or with a dropper off the bend tied 2 sizes smaller.
