Stonefly patterns come a dime a dozen, with endless variations including the classic Kaufmann's, vinyl ribbed Little Black Stone, and Rowan's most maligned, the Pat's Rubber.

Our tie focuses on nailing the three characteristics that science tells us matter to fish - proportion, silhouette, and contrast. By using vinyl rib for the lower segmentation and quickly transitioning to a bulky dubbed thorax with wingcases, then countershading, we've created a beast of a fly that helps us pull landlockeds and squaretails during even the worst fishing conditions.
