Streamers - Pin Fry

Around February, fall spawn trout eggs begin to hatch, and after the alevin absorb the yolk sac, tiny trout fry flit through the thawing rivers.

These fry can make for an excellent imitation pattern, especially as mature fish warm up with the late spring water temps and get aggressive enough to chase a stripped streamer.

Tied most often in size 8, we sometimes fish size 12 low and slow if trout are still sluggish.
